At HELIOPAW, every product begins long before it becomes a collar, pendant, or accessory. It starts on paper—inside a sketchbook, often with rough pencil lines, fabric samples taped to the page, and small handwritten notes about texture, balance, and comfort.
Our designs grow from questions:
How should a pet accessory feel? How can we express softness, elegance, and meaning through materials? How do we create something both functional and emotionally warm?

Today, we invite you into that sketchbook.
These two original design pages represent the foundation of HELIOPAW’s visual identity—one for our vegan leather collar, and the other for our signature crystal pendants.

 

1. The Collar: Designed for Comfort, Built With Intention

The first design sheet shows the evolution of our collar. At first glance, it looks like a technical drawing, but beneath the measurements and notes is a story about care, material honesty, and thoughtful craftsmanship.

Choosing Vegan Leather: A Soft Touch With a Clear Purpose

We selected premium vegan leather not only because it is cruelty-free, but because of how it feels.
It is soft, warm-toned, and flexible, making it ideal for pets who move, run, and rest throughout the day.

Two colours were chosen early in development:

• Reddish Brown: earthy, classic, timeless
• Beige: clean, minimal, and elegant

In the sketch, you can see small fabric swatches taped beside the collar illustration—a reminder that every texture was felt, tested, and compared before becoming part of the final piece.

Copper & Zinc Alloy Hardware: Durable, Gentle, Safe

Every metal element on the collar, D-rings, buckles, rivets, is made from a copper and zinc alloy.
The sketch shows them drawn as simple circles and curves, but behind that simplicity is a list of requirements we insisted on:

• must be lightweight
• must not irritate skin
• must stay polished over time
• must feel comfortable even for sensitive pets

The result is hardware that feels secure but never heavy, functional yet elegant.

A Collar That Carries Meaning, Not Just Form

Look closer at the hand-drawn notes: “fixed traction rope”, “logo”, “crystal”.
These cues show how each section of the collar was designed around the idea of intention, not decoration.

The crystal attachment point is placed precisely where movement is minimal, reducing sound and friction.
Our logo is pressed subtly into the leather, becoming part of the material rather than sitting on top of it.
This is how HELIOPAW treats branding: quietly, respectfully, without disturbing the harmony of the collar itself.

 

2. The Crystal Pendants: Where Craftsmanship Meets Emotion

The second design drawing captures the beginnings of our crystal pendants—delicate, hand-painted spheres paired with Swarovski detail, sketched with the same precision usually reserved for fine jewelry.

Why We Use Natural Crystals

Each pendant features a high-clarity natural crystal, Amethyst, Clear Quartz, or Rose Quartz.
The sketches highlight each stone individually, almost like portraits, because each carries its own mood and emotional resonance:

• Amethyst: calm, collected, thoughtful
• Clear Quartz: pure, bright, balanced
• Rose Quartz: soft, warm, gentle

These are crystals chosen not just for their beauty, but for the feeling they create when worn, by humans or pets.

The Scepter: Our Signature Connector

At the top of each pendant, you can see a finely detailed “scepter”, a small, crown-like connector that brings the crystal and the collar together.
It is both symbolic and functional:

• it protects the crystal’s top point
• it adds a refined jewelry-like finish
• it creates a sense of ceremony, as if the pet is wearing something meaningful

This scepter detail has become one of HELIOPAW’s signature design elements.

Swarovski Crystal Ring: A Touch of Sparkle, A Gesture of Care

Above the pendants sits a Swarovski crystal ring—subtle, never overwhelming.
It adds just enough light to catch the sun, reflecting the soft brilliance of the natural stone below.

This small detail was added after multiple sketches because we wanted to create a visual bridge between the collar and the pendant—a transition between the matte vegan leather and the glow of the natural crystal.

3. From Sketch to Reality: The HELIOPAW Approach

These two drawings represent more than early drafts.
They reflect the DNA of HELIOPAW: thoughtful materials, refined craftsmanship, and a gentle emotional presence in everything we create.

Our design principles became clear during this process:

• Comfort first: every curve, stitch, and metal piece must feel good to wear.
• Material honesty: natural crystals, vegan leather, carefully selected alloys.
• Emotional purpose: each piece should feel meaningful, whether worn by a person or their pet.
• Timelessness over trend: soft colours, minimal lines, long-lasting materials.

We do not design fast-fashion pet accessories.
We design keepsakes, something you notice, something you feel, something your pet becomes connected to.

4. A Brand Built on Quiet Beauty and Companionship

HELIOPAW was created with a simple belief:
Beautiful things should also feel gentle, considered, and full of intention.

Our collars and pendants are small objects, but they carry a presence that goes beyond their size.
